Our 8 year old has just been diagnosed with Dispraxia- we have spent 7 years trying to find the answers to why she isnt crawling/ eating with a fork/ writing like her peers, to why her amazing mind does not translate into the classroom. She reads 2 novels a day, but is a 'D' level student. As a High School Teacher of 10 years, I have never even heard of this condition, and now I wonder about so many children I have taught. I fear for her future as she is a sensitive child, who already asks why her body doesn't do what it's told. Any help anyone can offer as to what they have discovered about this condition would be so appreciated. Are there any Pediatricians who specialise in Dyspraxia at the Gold Coast? I would love to start a support group in my area, which is Far North Coast. We are two and a half hours from Brisbane. Please Help us. My email is scottandbell@aapt.net.au thankyou!
