		<description>hi Sue
Thanks for your email. This is so familiar. We are about to set up a parents&#039; group so that you can all talk to each other about this as i am getting way too busy here. But needless to say if you can tick every box then he is most likely severely dyslexic.

Firstly I hope he is getting and Auditory Processing test this will be the aspect of his hearing , i think, that is defective.

Secondly there is a SPELD organization in Melbourne in the phone book. in my book Dyslexia _ how to Win it tells everything you need to know to understand dyslexia and lots of teaching information and games etc. And Case studies. There are 2 chapters on maths for dyslexics with Dyscalculia but i have yet to complete the book entirely on maths.

Getting him assessed is just the beginning. Once you have him assessed you have to track down the teaching methods as the school will most likely not know. That is why i wrote this book and am selling it so cheaply.
good luck
cheers

		<description>Hi Dawn,
I have a son who has just turned 12 starting high school next year. He is grade 3 standard in Maths and maybe grade 5 in English after 4 years of private tution. I have had him tested for everything I could think of but no-one has ever said the words Dyslexia or Dyscalculia. He can tick off every item on the check list to a tee. I still get told I am an overbearing mother and to let him be. Should I just do this and let him do his best or keep going till I get to the bottom of it? At present he is being seen by an Audiologist but we are only 1/2 way through testing. He believes my son is interesting. Who can test for Dyslexia in Melbourne?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
